Legendary Rance Allen Group debuts New Music for Black History Month

New music is constantly flowing from the Rance Allen Group and when the right moment presents itself, they make time to record.  Good news for fans: That moment has arrived and sooner than expected.

On February 9th, The Rance Allen Group will be live in concert and record new music during the Reid’s Records 2nd Annual Gospel Celebration in Richmond, CA.  The group will be headlining celebration which also includes fellow gospel artists, The Mighty Clouds of Joy and Paul Porter.  This year’s attendees will be treated to brand new music as well as the opportunity to be a part of their next live project.

The Reid’s Records 2nd Annual Charles Reid Gospel Festival will be held at Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza 94875, Richmond, CA at 3pm.

This recording comes hot off the heels of the group’s current release, Amazing Grace, which is a celebration of the lives and career. The 2-disc CD/DVD set is a one-of-a-kind, audio and visual collection truly showcases the contributions that the Rance Allen Group has made to the gospel music genre.

Fans will also go on a journey with the documentary Music Majors: The Rance Allen Group, that is included in the special package.  The film chronicles the life of Rance, Tom and Steve Allen from their early days in Monroe, OH to becoming Grammy Award nominees and performing on BET’s Celebration of Gospel.  Music Majors features rare interviews with Kirk Franklin, James Fortune, Isaac Caree, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, Shirley Murdock, Paul Porter and more.
